About the artist

Emanuel Ricklin (Israel, 1936)

The variations in the realistic and abstract motifs that are part of my work engage me in an ever enriching process of creation.
The visual quality, nature and design of the shapes and figures are the natural outcome of each choice of materials used. The creation’s foundation is formed by the connection between the chosen materials and the conceptual crystallization that results.
Deliberations of subject choice are also a considerable part of the creative process, influencing the characterization of the form that was imagined at the process’s outset.
